Last night Kookai founders Rob Cromb and Danielle Vagner presented their Autumn Winter collection for 2015 and as far as i'm concerned I think easily their best yet.Upon arrival, the Melbourne Fash Pack was treated to Laurent Perrier sparkling and delish canapés perfectly organised by the brilliant girls at Two Birds Talking. Soon after, everyone was ushered to their seats and the Vegas themed show began. The stunning set by the genius team at Gloss Creative, saw the impressive Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne host a slick & simple white grey runway, leaving the product to really speak for itself.
Staying true to the signature Kookai svelt silhouette, the collection offers a new shape in jackets for winter with waterfall influenced styles colliding with oversized coats to result in the perfect draped jackets. A much more muted colour palette saw minimal prints and a stronger focus on 'staple' item dressing. From high neck knit dresses to slinky shirting, the current seventies vibe of the season made it's way subtly through the collection by way of a killer pair of slim fit high waist flares and plenty of gold body jewellery.
A beautiful winter-perfect offering once again from Kookai, where investing in wardrobe staples, never seemed more appealing.
